Wowza! Its been two years!

Hello again...I know its been two years since I posted and life has been ridiculously busy! I started working again in the nursing industry...I work two weekends a month with special needs children and I love it! I also have been taking care of my Grandma 2-3 day a week and Emma goes with me. So, inbetween working 2 jobs, 4 children, 3 hours of swim team practice a night, major hysterectomy in August 2010 and school/homework...my life has been full,to say the least...I have not scrapped other than banners for 2 years...I know, I know...wth,right? Well, I have a problem and I scrap only chronicalogically sooooo, while I love all those old memories, I have massive pics for each event and my pics are not as good as they are now so hold your horses and give me time because I have started scrapping again! So now, without further a due...here is my latest project using Echo Park "Splash"!

Ok...well here it is. Just in time for some updated poppy pictures! I do not know if any has noticed, but the poppies are back! I will be teaching this class at my house, next week. Ok seriously this album was inspired by the super cute pj's I bought my daughter and knew I had to scrap it! I used the K&Co line and the cricut to cute out simple designs. I made the rainbows out of circles layered by colors. I just love this album and guess what? It is going on the road with Jessica, so if you are in town with one of the many shows that she does then go check it out.Since my kids are now off track for school for 6 weeks, I will be getting lots done here in the next 2 weeks and shipped of to Mrs. Jessica for the road! So stay tuned for more amazing projects.
Oh, by the way this project is using the tabbed flower book from K2R!
This will be a class in Febuary at Pink Pineapple, no dates yet! I must go now and finish my 6x6 metal xmas book for a class. take care...

I know...I know... it's been a while

Hi everyone,
I know it's been awhile. Life is crazy! So much has happened. I have joined a design team called Kits 2 Remember. This is where I get all of my acrylic from and now metal panels (more on that later). Jessica Guthrie is the owner and is so sweet. I can't believe how much stuff we get! As some of you know... I have cut back on my classes right now. Partly, because the economy is hard right now and scrapbooking is a luxary that we must really pick and choose with. And that's ok... I get it. Also, I have been asked to be the Secretary of my girls swim team... and let me just tell you... who knew how much work all of the voluteers on a non profit club swim team do. It's crazy!!!!!!!!! My husband sometimes get upset with me because he says that I am either scrapping or doing swim team stuff. :( And it's true. But if you know me... what ever I take on, I go full force and nothing stops me. I just want to give a big THANKS to my mom for such a freakin drive to be as crazy as one can be, so... Thanks MOM!:)So, that leads me into what I was saying before... I am teaching one class this month and one class next month (for now :) ). I will be teaching a 12x12 metal panel wall hanging. You know metal is the next hottest thing after acrylic! Look to the left for details. The 12x12 wall hanging is so darn cute and so darn versible. I choose to use lots of pics because I have lots of kids. But you can use 4 pics that are larger then mine. We will stamp with a homemade stamp and use the Cricut for letters. Then we will use magnets on our pics that are mounted on chipboard and then embellish with rub ons. Super cute and super easy. I only have 10 spots left and I know it's half full so go check it out. Coming in December will be a 6x6 metal mini book using Making Memories FaLaLaLa. It's not done yet but keep checking. So I have been a little busy. I feel like I can't catch up with myself. I have a new dog and my kids just went off track at school and thank God that I have a month off of doing school runs three times a day. You know, you just can't get anything done! Oh, and did I mention that I am potty training Emma and the dog, Daisy. So, call me crazy because I am! Anyway, I just wanted to remind you all that I am doing my "Garden of Love" project at Cool Scrapbooks in Poway on Tuesday at 6pm. I hope you can make it. I do know that it is almost sold out. Ok, so I took my oldest daughter to a skating rink bday party and she begged me to get some skates on. I thought, Ummm NO! I will fall and break a leg or something.But, low and behold, I can actually still skate. And not only skate, but I can still do the cross over and skate backwards! No Freakin way you say, well this girl still has it!YEA! My daughter and her friends watched as they gripped the siderail in pure amazement as I skated my way around the rink. One of her friends even challenged me to a race. Do you know who won? That's right, ME!!!! There was only one time that I thought, oh Lord I'm going down but I save myself! So, grab a pair of skates, no not rollerblades ( Lord knows we are too old and our ankles just won't hold up :) ), and get your Skate on! Let me tell you, dang that is some good exercise! I knew that most of you would not beleive my story so I had my friend, as she cracked up in amazement,take my photos! So, just remember, when you hear that disco music think back to the 80's and picture yourself gliding thru the rink with a big smile on your face. I just want you to know, this skatin girl is back

Ok, so you know me. If my plate is not full enough then I just am not the productive! You know, I work great under pressure. Well, I have something up my sleeve. Actually a couple of things... But for now I will share one!. I know, the suspense is killin you! Ok, I am HOPING, please note the word hoping, to start an online acrylic book kit club! So, what do you think? I just want to give everyone who took my first class at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway on Sunday, a great big, huge THANK YOU!!!!!!!! You all were awesome and so much fun. They did not quite understand the whole acrylic thing but once they got, it was like WOW! So cute! Anyway, thanks to Gena and Jackie too. You all were so wonderful. I hope I see some of you on June 1st for the butterfly book!

It is a spin off from my 12x12 acrylic using the new Rusty Pickle "Pop Star" line and tons of awesome techniques! It can be used as gift for Dads and Grandpas (which is what I am doing) or for yourself. There are only 12 spots available for this class and it was requested by many so grab your calendar and check to see if you join us on Sunday, June 22nd at 11am to 4 pm. A Friday night talent show...

My older girls, Kayla and Hannah were in the school talent show this last friday night! They did awesome. Kayla sand "We're All In This Together" from High School Musical, with some friends and Hannah Sang a Hannah Montana song with her friend. Check out the guitar Hannah is using! I made that using the new Indie Art and Home Decor cardridges from Cricut. Love it...

A morning bike ride and Kayla's first swim team practice...

It's all in a day's work! Emma, Sarah and I went out on a bike ride this morning in hopes to start some sort of exercise routine. Well, have you ever tried to pull about 65 pounds in a bike trailer when you are out of shape and the street does not look like a hill but sure feels like one?LOL! It's ok I did make it home and the girls and even stopped to hug a tree in someone's front yard and I managed to get a couple of cute pics. I do feel good and I will try again tomorrow. Then in the early evening, Kayla had her first swim practice with Mesa Aquatics. Yeah, she made the team! But watching her was torture for me. It's hard to watch your child gasping for air in the water and to not do anything about it. She looked exhausted but she did the whole practice without out a complaint other then she was starving!!!!!! So I stopped by Jack in the Box on the way home to get her and her friend a cheeseburger so they were not famished before we got home. Note to self: Bring dinner for her to eat when she gets in the car or this could be a more expensive sport then we thought!

Top Ten Reasons Why I love Camping...

We went camping this past weekend at Lake Hemet which is in Iddywild. It's beautiful and we camp right on the lake. It was a little interesting to say the least. We went up on Thursday night to get a good spot on the water and on the way my husbands truck overheated. I swear that was the end for that old thing but it finally cooled down and pulled thru. At 320,000 miles it's a champ. I told my husband he can't have another one until this one dies but I did not mean this weekend!!!! Anyway, so then on Friday I had to drive my kids back to Menifee to do try outs for the talent show ( that's cute but funny!), and then on Friday night I got really sick and we think it was altitude sickness. But that's wierd. Anyway when I finally felt better I got some great pics of the girls and thier soon to be cousins ( well sorta, my friend Amy and I set up her bro and my sister in law and they are getting married in Sept. So in a round about way we are all going to be family). Ok so now for my top 10 reasons why I love camping...
10. I love that my husband and I don't argue anymore about my directional hand movements when he is backing up the trailer
9. I love that I don't have to sleep in a tent and freeze to death
8. I love watching my husband bond with the guys and play games all day long like horse shoes and so on
7. I love that I get to read like 3 or 4 trashy magazines the whole weekend and not have to get up and do laundry
6. I love that my kids play so hard that they go to sleep with no problems
5. I love that we got the baby to sleep on a bed this weekend and we can now get rid of the pack and play
4. I love watching my kids play with thier friends and cousins
3. I love the serinity I feel knowing my family is with me and everyone is so happy
2. I love watching my kids make up imagination games and play for hours and hours outside and never get bored
1. I love camp fire pudgie pies (Reeses's peanut butter cups and marshmellow in a buttered bread sandwich and heated up over the campfire until it melts.OMG!!!!!!!!!!)

So, that's my life this past weekend and I loved every minute of it, well almost!!:) Have a great day and enjoy my slideshow of our weekend.

I cleaned today after my daughters dance class and let me just tell you. My downstairs has never been so clean. I cleaned blinds, baseboards, bathrooms, floors, and I even steam cleaned the carpets! I swear I'm not prego ( it isn't possible!:)) but boy, I feel good! Okay, just had to tell everyone. hey, did anyone go to the poppy fields off of Clinton Kieth yet? Alright nighty,night I must get sleep because tomorrow is the upstairs cleaning day!

I know I have not put up a post since all the excitement of getting the blog so I will try now to post more often. That's my story and I'm stickin to it! So, so much has happen since that first day of my blog. I have been crazy busy with the girls and family things with Easter. We visited this awesome field of poppies by my house and I only took like 300 pics! Then of coarse there was Easter and we also went hiking in Borrego Springs this weekend. That is a story all in its self. Let's just say that 4 little girls, an out of shape mama, a daddy who loves to hike, only 4 bottles of h2o, NO PACIFIER for Emma, NO FOOD, a camera, and a hike that is only suppose to take maybe an hour that turned into 4 hours and trail blazing, that it was an adventure that I will never forget but then again maybe I want to! But guess what? I got AWESOME pics!!!

Ok, now to even better news... I have a class tonite on this acyrlic book. Love it! I also finished my first project that is not for a class but myself. That's a crazy thought but it's the cute crown book using my fave- My Mind's Eye, Dreamy girl collection that is now available at It's About Time Scrapbook Store. So after reading this post, hurry up and get in your car and GO! QUICK before it's all gone or I take it all! Just joking, I will leave some for you. Ok, I have one more thing to share... Last night when I got back from scrapping, I was surfing some of the blogs I like to read and MY BLOG SPOT was marked as a fave from JESSICA GUTHRIE, the fabulous owner of Kits2Remember.com where I get my acrylic for my classes and fun projects. So check it out. That put a smile on my face! Thanks Jessica. So, that's all for now. I just need to share something that happened to me last week. I had sent some photos to Rusty Pickle of acrylic books that I had did for classes using Rusty Pickle paper. I received an email that they were gorgeous and eye candy and they are going to put them on the blog and put me on the RAK (random acts of kindness- for those of you who do not know, because I did not know what this was until I asked Mel- DUH!!!!:)),for the month.
