I just need to share something that happened to me last week. I had sent some photos to Rusty Pickle of acrylic books that I had did for classes using Rusty Pickle paper. I received an email that they were gorgeous and eye candy and they are going to put them on the blog and put me on the RAK (random acts of kindness- for those of you who do not know, because I did not know what this was until I asked Mel- DUH!!!!:)),for the month. So keep checking rustypickle.com and go to the blog. Yeah for me!!!!!!

About Me
- Kristie Steffens
- I am a SAHM with four little girls. So as you can imagine, my life is hectic, dramatic and I love it!!! Being creative is my therapy and keeps me grounded so that I do not lose focus on all the little things my life offers. My husband is the most supportive man and always encourages me to reach for my dreams. My girls are always challenging me to be a better mom and realize that the little things in life are really the big things and the big things in life are really the little things. I have to constantly remind myself to stop and breathe and take in what matters the most. I have had the opportunity to create scrapbooking kits for My Mind's Eye called "Kristie's Creations" and Kristie's Creations- Painted Pieces" in 2005. I feel so blessed.

The funny, strange, not so cute things about me...aka my "isms"...
- I love the smell of clean laundry!!! I smell every (well not every) piece of clean clothes when I fold.
- I burn Gold Canyon candles almost everyday! Oh and by the way if you need a rockin consultant, my friend Kim is available!(your welcome, Kim)
- I believe that you should always treat others like you want to be treated.
-I make lop-sided cakes. I even took a cake class, but darn it just happens!
-When I settle into bed at night, I have to have my sheets perfectly straight.
- I love to clean.
- I make wierd faces, that's according to Lisa and my Husband. Whatever!!!
-I do not take out the trash. That is one job, I just can't do.
- My husband says when I sleep that I make a sound that sounds like a ventilator. Wierd but he snores sometimes too!:)
- I am almost never late and I can't stand when people are. It drives me crazy! I figure if I can get out the door with 4 girls and myself then you should.
-I tell my children if they are going stare at someone that is different then them, they need to say "hi" and smile. That leads to my next one...
- I am a nurse and I worked with special needs children in home care for 3 years and then worked in Critical Care at Children's Hospital before having my first daughter.
-When I am tired, I hit the wall and that's it. I must go to bed very soon. I really need 8 hours of sleep at night or more.
- I do not nap, I just can't.
- I am a bottled water snob
-I must eat breakfast before I eat any other meal for the day. No pizza for breakfast... not this girl!
